DIY Lantern…
… for $4.00!!
I was just looking for chic and rustic lanterns to decorate my fireplace mantle and front porch. Little did I know, you can spend $100+ on a trendy, boho-chic lantern. HARD PASS.
This super simple #DIY can be done literally in just a few minutes, and it’s so easy that it’s nearly impossible to mess up!
Frame Lanterns
You will only need:
- (4) 5×7 picture frames
- Hot glue gun
- Glue (duh.)
If you wish to paint the frames, this is the time to do it! You can paint them whatever color you wish. Depending on what the backside/inside of the frames looks like, you may want to paint them as well. (Consider painting them white)
Next, using hot glue, adhere the glass to each frame. Then connect the frames together in a square shape. When connecting one frame to another, be sure to wait for the glue to dry before moving to the next frame.
Just add some candles or flowers and you’re all set! I may try filling them with pine cones and other Fall-inspired decor. 🙂
